What SKTools keeps, who sees it, and how to delete it.

What we keep

  • Your account. When you log in with Battle.net, we keep your account number, BattleTag, your list of World of Warcraft characters, and when you logged in. We never see your password and don't keep access to your Battle.net account.
  • What you save. Your cards, plans, builds, followed characters, favorite character, Fate Machine pulls, and the guilds you join with what you add to them. Guild members see what you add to their guild. People outside a guild see its name and totals, and an invite link shows the name of the member who sent it.
  • Discord. When a guild master connects a Discord channel, we keep which server and channel it is, who connected it and the connection used to post there (encrypted). If the guild adds its server's invite, with or without a channel, we keep the invite, which server it's for and who added it. Posts never name members or show who voted for what. Who's online in the server is read from Discord when a member opens the guild page and isn't saved. We keep nothing about anyone's Discord account.
  • Comments. A comment under a guide shows the character you post it as, with that character's picture, PvP titles and highest 3v3 rating, and links to its page. Anyone can read it. We keep which account posted it, scrambled, so you can edit or delete it, and the site's owner gets a copy in a private Discord channel.
  • Feedback. What you write in the feedback form, how to reach you if you add it, and the page you sent it from go to a private Discord channel the site's owner reads. We don't keep it on the site.
  • Visits. We count views of character pages once a day per visitor. For that, and to limit abuse (logins, short links, guilds, comments), we keep a scrambled form of your network address and browser type, never the address itself. We also count how many times each guide is read, with nothing about who read it.

Character pages show what Blizzard makes public about a character, including other characters that seem to belong to the same player (“Also plays”).

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you logged in and to finish logging in with Battle.net or connecting Discord. Your settings are kept in your own browser.

Who else handles it

  • Vercel runs the website and counts visits without cookies.
  • Supabase holds the database.
  • GitHub runs our scheduled jobs and keeps our backups.
  • Netlify and GitHub host addon downloads.
  • Blizzard handles logging in and provides the game's data and pictures.
  • wsrv.nl loads the large character pictures.
  • YouTube, only when you press play on a guide's video.
  • Discord, for guilds that connect a channel or add their server's invite, and for feedback and comments you send.

We never sell your data, and the site has no ads.

Deleting

  • Delete my SKTools data, in your account's Settings, removes your account and everything saved to it, deletes your comments, and takes you out of every guild. Your Battle.net account isn't affected.
  • Leaving a guild removes what you put in it, except votes and sessions you started.
  • Deleting a guild removes it and its Discord connection and invite. In the guild's Discord panel, Disconnect removes the connection and Remove, beside the invite, removes the invite. Posts already in the channel stay there.

How long we keep things

  • Accounts, what they save, and guilds: about two years after they were last used.
  • Comments: until you or the site's owner delete them.
  • Short links: about a year after they were last opened.
  • The once-a-day view record: up to three days.
  • Backups: five weeks.
